How you sell
Spec-driven
Your product is chosen by an architect or engineer who writes it into a specification, then bought later by a contractor or installer. Marketing has to reach the specifier early with the documents they need, then protect the spec from substitution at bid time.
What is a spec-driven sale?
In a spec-driven sale, an architect or engineer chooses the product by writing it into the project specification, and a contractor or installer buys it months later. The marketing happens twice: early, to get written in, and at bid time, to keep a substitute from replacing you.
